A JEWEL IN YOUR HAND

Premium Handcrafted Pens

Why Wood? Because it is a miracle. It has been used by man since the prehistoric times and still forms part of our everyday life today. Some trees live for Centuries and have witnessed the rise and fall of Empires and Nations. Some are not awarded the opportunity to continue being part of the world for long, however, their time rooted to the soil uprooted by the hand of man. The life they led can be visualised by their numerous rings, one for each year of life. If they cannot live any longer as an organic part of the world, nothing is lost thereby, for in the hand of man they may continue to accompany us in the crafted form of a wooden pen that will be behind all our responsible decisions and remains part of our life.

trustone

What is TruStone? This is a mixture of shattered pigmented pieces of natural stone ore stabilised in acrylic resin. What could I tell about a pen crafted of stone which is heavy and cool for the touch? It is a premium pen crafted from the best material. A material not suitable for all internal mechanisms, but once it is ready, a special and unique pen is born.

Why Acrylic? Because it is beautiful, elegant and fashionable. It feels good in your hand and though it is heavier than wood it is still comfortable to write with. High quality premium pens can be crafted from acrylic resin in unique variations of shapes and colours to satisfy the wildest imaginations of style.

About the process

The most important thing when making a pen is the right quality material.
After careful preparation, it is put on the lathe, and then I turn it to the right size. After arriving at the desired form, smoothing comes. Firstly, dry sanding is applied and after oiling, the piece is sanded again and again. After the final sanding, I treat it with orange oil, which is skin-, baby- and food-friendly, and brings out the color of the wood – I could even say it fires it up.
After oiling, the next step is waxing, which is also done with natural materials. When the necessary brightness is achieved, nothing else is left but the assembly of the pen.
